Fix Internet Explorer Certificate 'Continue to this website' not working

This occurs when a site you are visiting has under a 1024 bit encryption method. By default internet explorer will not allow you to visit the site at all, and clicking 'Continue to this website' will just reload the prompt page. This often happens when connecting to devices or to self signed certificates with a 512 bit encryption.

To fix this you need to add a registry key:

Open Regedit.exe

Browse to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\OID\EncodingType 0\CertDLLCreateCertificateChainEngine\Config\

Create a new DWORD (32 bit) value:

DWORD (32 bit) : MinRsaPubKeyBitLength
value : 512 (decimal)

Open a new Internet Explorer browser window and you will now be able to click 'Continue to this website' and it will work.
