cPanel Not Serving Main Domain DNS

Change DNS server to NCD from BIND quite easily without losing any information. An effective tutorials for self learners.

When BIND is set as your selected DNS server cPanel does not properly setup the zones for the main domain that matches the hostname and name servers. For this reason we recommend selecting NCD or MyDNS as the DNS server. You can change your DNS server to NCD from BIND quite easily without losing any information.

To do that:

• Login to WHM
• Locate the option on the left hand side: Service Configuration -> Nameserver Selection
• Select NCD
• Click Save

This will automatically install NCDand it will start working immediately and serving all your existing DNS zones.
