Setup Own Name Servers in Plesk
Posted by Will Kruss on 30 May 2016 07:50 PM

You can create your own name servers in Plesk. An excellent guidelines on how to setup own name servers in Plesk.

      Plesk Nameserver Setup

Note: This is for setting up Plesk to accept child name servers, it does NOT create the child name servers, you need to do that at your domain registrar.

      1. Login to the Plesk control panel and navigate to your domain name.

      2. Navigate to the “DNS Settings” area for your domain (the domain you want to create name servers for e.g. ns1.yourdomain.com / ns2.yourdomain.com).

      3. Click “Add Record” and add the following records:

      Record type: A
      Enter domain name: ns1
Enter IP address: Your VPS IP (e.g. 203.143.x.x)
      Record type: A
      Enter domain name: ns2
Enter IP address: Your VPS IP (e.g. 203.143.x.x)

      4. You should now be able to use the following nameservers for all new domains on your account/server:

      ns1.yourdomain.com
      ns2.yourdomain.com
