Pointing A Domain To Our Name Servers
Posted by Will Kruss on 04 May 2012 06:33 PM

Manage your DNS records directly through us by pointing the name server to our existing domain. Follow the steps to know more.

If you wish to manage your DNS records directly through us you need to set the name servers for your existing domain to ours.

To do this, login to the provider you registered your domain at (your domain registrar).

Look for the option to 'Change Name Servers' or 'Change DNS Servers'.

Replace the Primary and Secondary Name Servers with ours:

  • ns1.controlmyvps.com.au
  • ns2.controlmyvps.com.au

Remove any other name servers that are listed there.

If you cannot find the option to Change Name Servers where you registered your domain, search their help and you should find it quite easily. Please note that changing your name servers to point to us does NOT in anyway affect where your domain registration is held. When your domain registration becomes due you will still be invoiced and need to pay your existing domain registrar.
